Field crews from Hardline Exploration Corp. recently completed a multi-day prospecting and sampling program at the Nicola East Project, located approximately 25 km east of Merritt, British Columbia. The program followed up on 2023 results, which included a grab sample that returned 3.04 g/t Au from a previously untested quartz vein.
During the 2024 program, 35 samples were collected from several quartz veins containing up to 3% chalcopyrite and 1% chalcocite, with visible copper oxide staining. Mineralization occurs within narrow quartz veins (<5 cm thick) showing chlorite–epidote alteration and hosted in grey-green andesitic volcanics with hornblende phenocrysts.
Crews revisited the 2023 high-grade location (sample AA001906, 687807 mE / 5555494 mN, Zone 10N) to locate additional mineralized structures nearby. Assaying was performed by ALS Laboratories (North Vancouver, ISO 9001 certified) under a 5% QA/QC protocol, including field duplicates, blanks, and certified reference materials.
35 samples collected in total
Multiple samples (AA002980, AA002983, AA002984, F00066262, F00066263) contained visible copper mineralization
Mineralization and quartz veining dissipate outward from the 3.04 g/t Au sample area
Host lithology: andesitic volcanics with pervasive chlorite and localized epidote alteration
QA/QC included two certified standards and one blank
